Cross Performance/Ralph Lemon

Cross Performance offers a variety of engagement activities that make connections across cultures and enhance understanding of, and dialogue about, creative process and cultural traditions. These include activities such as lecture-demonstrations and symposia on creative process and cultural practices; dance and music workshops in a variety of traditional and contemporary forms; master classes for performance students; presentations of and dialogues about work-in-progress; mixed-media lectures; and pre- and post-performance discussions.

Ralph Lemon and his collaborators offer these activities throughout the continuum of research-creation-production-performance, providing people in diverse communities with windows into different stages of creative process. Some artistic projects-publications, visual arts exhibits, web projects-incorporate rich contextual information that can spur discourse on dance, performance, theater, visual art, culture and history. This high level of communication and engagement underscore Ralph Lemon's commitment to sharing his artistic practice-not only his artistic "product."
