Word Becomes Flesh is a National Performance Network (NPN) Re-Creation Fund Project sponsored by La Peña Cultural Center (Berkeley, CA) in partnership with Painted Bride (Philadelphia, PA), Dance Place (Washington, DC), Youth Speaks (San Francisco, CA) and NPN. This project has been made possible by the National Endowment for the Arts as part of American Masterpieces: Three Centuries of Artistic Genius.

Principal development support for Word Becomes Flesh was provided by Z Space Studio (San Francisco, CA).

MAPP International Productions has toured the ensemble version of Word Becomes Flesh in North America since 2012. Venues have included: The Under the Radar Festival (New York, NY); The Off Center Festival/Segerstrom Center for the Arts (Costa Mesa, CA); The Ringling Museum of Art (Sarasota, FL); The Hancher (Iowa City, IA); Intermedia Arts (Minneapolis, MN);  Mesa Arts Center (Mesa, AZ); The Winter Center/Millersville University (Millersville, PA); Lincoln Center Out of Doors (New York, NY); Wesleyan University (Middleton, CT); Redfern Center for the Arts (Keene, NH); Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (North Adams, MA); The Mahaney Center/Middlebury College (Middlebury, VT); UMass Amherst (Amherst, MA); and Northeastern University (Boston, MA).
