The Africa Contemporary Arts Consortium

DIALOGUES ACROSS CULTURE: A MODEL FOR BUILDING ENDURING PARTNERSHIPS

MAPP International Productions and The Africa Contemporary Arts Consortium presented a two-day public symposium in partnership with the Museum for African Art, The Center for African Education at Teacher's College and the Institute of African Studies at Columbia University. Intended for presenters, educators, students, artists, funders, and those interested in deeply rooted international engagement, the symposium was designed to open up the dialogue around cultural exchange, share lessons' learned through case study examples, introduce some of the projects and artists with whom the Consortium has partnered, and promote and build deeper understanding and connections between artists, arts organizations and public communities in the United States and the African Continent.
